Madaba Tour
The City of Mosaics

Add an artistic historical touch to your stopover by visiting the city of Madaba. Discover the Archeological Museum, where you will experience antiquity like no other. Then you can pass by the Archeological Park, which the Romans created as a typical provincial town, with colonnaded streets, fine temples, large water cisterns and a town wall.

Mesmerize at the beauty of the Church of St. George the Baptist, home of the oldest mosaic map known to exist. The first mosaics were discovered purely by chance during the building of the new permanent dwellings using squared-up stones from the old monuments. You will have free time to stroll down the streets of old Madaba, and enjoy a wide selection of souvenir and gift shops and shop in traditional local markets.

After your amazing tour of Madaba, you will head to the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth, which is without a doubt one of the world's most amazing destinations. The leading attraction at the Dead Sea is the warm, soothing, super salty water – rich in chloride salts of magnesium, sodium, potassium, bromine and several other soothing salts minerals. The unusually warm, incredibly buoyant and mineral-rich waters have attracted visitors since ancient times. Experience the stimulating mud and float effortlessly on your back while soaking up the water's healthy minerals along with the gently diffused rays of the Jordanian sun. Embrace the beauty of the Dead Sea while enjoying a swim at a private Beach at the Dead Sea Spa Hotel, followed by a delicious lunch.

You will then have the chance to visit the Panoramic Complex which offers some breathtaking views, especially on a crisp day in winter when the Judaea Mountains across the water seem just an arm's stretch away.

Discover the Dead Sea Museum, which will introduce you to the physical and chemical characteristics of the Dead Sea, while highlighting the relationship between the Dead Sea and human beings, in an attempt to promote the conservation and protection of the area. The full story of the Dead Sea is narrated with the use of panels, videos, and models to help clarify the conservation needs of the Dead Sea.

You will then head back to the airport for final departure.
