Travel conditions to Jeddah & Madinah during the Hajj season 2019:


  1. Arrival Dates:


A) Arrival phase of Hajj flights commences from July 04th 2019 until 23:59 (GMT) of August 05th 2019

  • The following categories are allowed to enter Jeddah and Madinah until August 11th, 2019:


1- Guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques program

2-Guests of the Ministry of Culture and media.            

3-Holders of Seasonal Work labor visas are allowed to travel to Jeddah or Madinah until August 02nd 2019.


  • However, only holders of seasonal work labor of the following categories can travel to Jeddah or Madinah until 23:59 (GMT) August 08th 2019:


  1. Islamic Development Bank seasonal labor
  2. Air Carriers seasonal labor on their seasonal or charter flights


  • Holders of Commercial and Visiting visas shall not be accepted for travel between the period from July 13th 2019 to August 12th 2019 to Jeddah or Madinah.

In case of holding (visiting) visa for business persons, media stuff, doctors, experts, and diplomats, RJ will coordinate with the Saudi Authorities to ensure smooth workflow and to get the necessary approvals through the Hajj Team at the time of check-in.

  • Non-Muslim passengers can travel during the Hajj season with no restrictions.


2. Restrictions during Hajj season:


        A) Females under (45 years old) must not arrive on Hajj flights unless accompanied by her (Mohram) listed on their Hajj visa.


        B) Holders of GCC (Gulf Council Countries) passports must have a Hajj permit if they wish to perform Hajj. Before check in process, all GCC citizens should sign a pledge of NOT performing Hajj and/or wearing (Ihram) during the flights or after arrivals.
