Royal Jordanian launches Ramadan campaign by hosting iftar banquets for 250 orphans
Jul - Amman
The event included a tour by the orphans at the Children’s Museum, the first venue selected by Royal Jordanian to hold its charity initiative that targets mainly orphans and the people most in need. The children expressed joy during their visit to the museum; it was a unique educational experience they gained by exploring and experimenting with numerous activities, and learning through playing.
RJ opted to start this year’s Ramadan campaign in Deir Alla, delivering aid parcels to the less privileged citizens in cooperation with the Ministry of Social Development and local community organizations involved in voluntary charity work.
The Ramadan campaign is in line with the airline’s philosophy of interacting with the local community. The company feels this is one of its duties toward the nation and its responsibility toward the less fortunate, so it carries out these campaigns based on the values, religion and morals of the Jordanian society. The corporate social responsibility is an essential element of the airline’s work and values.
This year’s campaign will see RJ host many iftar banquets for orphans and less fortunate families in Amman and other cities, in addition to distributing basic foodstuff in many other regions across the kingdom, including the southern Jordan Valley, the northwestern desert, Madaba and Rusaifa. This is done in coordination with the social development directorates in these areas.
