Jerash Tour
A Rome away from Rome

Your tour begins in Jerash, the former site of the Greco-Roman city of Gerasa. One of the most well preserved Roman sites in the world; the site contains countless features and remarkable structures standing after centuries. Referred to an Antioch on the Golden River, the city was founded by Alexander the Great or her general Predicts, creating a settlement for aged Macedonian soldiers.

Jerash lies on a plain surrounded by hilly wooded areas and fertile basins. Conquered by General Pompey in 63 BC, it came under Roman rule and was one of the ten great Roman cities of the Decapolis League.

After that you can enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant, and then head back to the airport for departure.
