Travel Policy

 

In response to the Government announcement to resume our operation on 8 September,2020, and because your health comes first. We are offering extra flexibility for passengers.

 

Flexible options are provided to passengers affected by the flight suspensions when Sales Validity between 1 January 2019 – 7 September 2020 and Travel Validity between 17 March 2020 - 30 September 2020

 

Reservation Date Change:

  • Reservation date change penalties will be waived if the flights are cancelled due to airport closure.
  • 5% discount on the difference in fare will be applied.
  • Passengers can request to re-validate their tickets on any date before 31 December 2020, but the processes of the re-validation should be done on/before 30 September 2020

Voucher (EMD) on cancelled flights before 8 September 2020:

Offering you more flexibility to fly with us again, we have now more options for passengers choose from:

  • Travel voucher (Good for travel) valid for two years from day of issuance.
  • Refundable Voucher valid for one year from day of issuance.
  • Voucher/EMD value can be used by the passenger’s family members (consent to be submitted when requesting this option).
  • Refund can be processed according to your country law, if not available RJ’s ticket terms and conditions apply.

  • For passengers holding tickets with point of sale (IL) and affected by flight suspensions due to the COVID 19 epidemic. RJ will make the relevant refund within 90 days from the day stipulated in the flight ticket, or until October 1, 2020, whichever latest.

In response to the government announcement to resume passenger’s commercial flights starting of 08 Sep 2020, and for a smooth less complicated travel experience. Following the updated travel procedure to help you plan your upcoming business or personal trip to Jordan.

 

Countries Classification.

Countries are classified into three categories: Green, Yellow and Red, depending on the scale of the COVID-19 outbreak:

Green Countries Travel Requirement:

  1. Visit https://www.visitjordan.gov.jo/ to complete the required form and to obtain the QR code, which is mandatory for boarding.
  2. Have been resided in these countries for the last 14 days
  3. Have PCR test with a negative result within 120 hours before departure (Not required for children under 5 years old)
  4. Another PCR test is required upon arrival
  5. Install (AMAN Application) on mobile phone
  6. Submit Passenger Health Declaration and Locator Form
  7. Have a valid Health Insurance to cover COVID19 treatments in Jordan is required for Non- Jordanians (This condition does not apply to Jordanian Nationality)
  8. Any passenger gives falsified or incorrect information is subject to a fine 10,000 JD.

 

Yellow Countries Travel Requirement:

  1. Visit https://www.visitjordan.gov.jo/ to complete the required form and to obtain the QR code, which is mandatory for boarding.
  2. Have been resided in these countries for the last 14 days
  3. Have PCR test with a negative result within 120 hours before departure (Not required for children under 5 years old)
  4. Another PCR test is required upon arrival
  5. Install (AMAN Application) on mobile phone
  6. Submit Passenger Health Declaration and Locator Form
  7. Have a valid Health Insurance to cover COVID19 treatments in Jordan is required for Non- Jordanians (This condition does not apply to Jordanian Nationality)

  9. Mandatory institutional quarantine for 7 days followed by 7 days at home

 

Red Countries Travel Requirement:

  1. Visit https://www.visitjordan.gov.jo/ to complete the required form and to obtain the QR code, which is mandatory for boarding.
  2. Have been resided in these countries for the last 14 days
  3. Have PCR test with a negative result within 120 hours before departure (Not required for children under 5 years old)
  4. Another PCR test is required upon arrival
  5. Install (AMAN Application) on mobile phone
  6. Submit Passenger Health Declaration and Locator Form
  7. Have a valid Health Insurance to cover COVID19 treatments in Jordan is required for Non- Jordanians (This condition does not apply to Jordanian Nationality)
  8. Any passenger gives falsified or incorrect information is subject to a fine 10,000 JD.
  9. Mandatory institutional quarantine for 7 days followed by 7 days at home with electronic tracking bracelet.

 

  • Passengers travelling to Jordan for Medical Tourism through “Salamtak Platform” are exempted from the condition of visiting https://www.visitjordan.gov.jo/ and issuing a QR code, provided that they hold an approval from Crisis Operation Center.
  • Diplomats are exempted from the condition of providing PCR test with negative results before the flight and from conducting PCR test upon arrival.

 

Transfer passengers are allowed at QAIA as follows:

  • Negative PCR test is required within 72 hours before arrival.
  • The planned transfer time is not exceeding 6 hours.

 

Transfer Passenger departing from Green Countries via Red Countries subjected to the following requirements:

  1. Visit https://www.visitjordan.gov.jo/ to complete the required form and to obtain the QR code, which is mandatory for boarding.
  2. Have been resided in these countries for the last 14 days
  3. Have PCR test with a negative result within 120 hours before departure (Not required for children under 5 years old)
  4. Another PCR test is required upon arrival Jordan

Global Entry Regulations

Only passengers holding a valid residency can travel to Abu Dhabi.

Visit visa, visa upon arrival and fresh residency visa are not allowed to enter Abu Dhabi.

All passengers are required to obtain a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate maximum 96 hours from the time of test from approved labs (In Jordan =Biolabs) or by a laboratory accredited by the state of departure, list of approved labs listed on the website(https://screening.purehealth.ae/application ), Passengers must have a hard copy of the test result.

Passengers with valid residency can travel to Abu Dhabi without ICA approval.

All passengers are required to download ALHOSN app for tracking purposes.

New Medical Procedure for arriving Passengers to Abu Dhabias follow:

A- 14 days Home Quarantine by giving them Medical Wristband with Exceptions for the following:

1- Passengers holding diplomatic passports.

2- Passengers below the age of 18.

B- Some of Arriving Passengers will be subject to institutional quarantine.

 

Restricted Passengers - Passengers that are on visas from Iran, China, UK, Schengen countries, or Brazil need to quarantine outside those countries for at least 14 days prior to their entry into USA

Exempted Passengers - US citizens and LPR are exempt quarantine

PCR test before travelling - not required

Health Insurance before travelling - not required

  • All GCC nationals including Qataris should use their passports to enter the State of Qatar and not their National ID cards.
  • All arriving passengers must install “EHTERAZ” application on their cell phone.
  • Each passenger must complete “Health Assessment Form for Returning Travelers” before arrival to Qatar.
  • Exceptional Entry permit copy should be carried by the passengers to be presented on arrival.
  • The following list of countries classified as Low risk of Covid-19:

(Brunei Darussalam- Vietnam- China- Thailand- Malaysia- New Zealand- Malta- Finland- Hungary- South Korea- Estonia- Norway- Lithuania- Latvia- Japan- Cyprus- Ireland- Greece- Italy- Slovakia- Denmark- Netherlands- Germany- Morocco- Poland- France- Australia- Canada- Slovenia- Belgium- United Kingdom- Czech- Austria- Switzerland- Algeria- Turkey- Iceland- Spain- Croatia- Andorra).

 

Below listed passengers to follow the conditions hereunder:

  1. Qatari Nationals, their spouses, their children, and companions arriving with them on the same flights.
  2. Permanent Residency Card holders.
  3. GCC nationals using their Passport only along with their companions under their sponsorship traveling on the same flights.
  4. Exceptional Return Permit holders.
  5. Foreign Diplomats on mission to the State of Qatar, holders of Administrative IDs and staff of International Organizations.

 

  • When travelling to the State of Qatar from the countries mentioned in the list of Low Risk countries published by MOPH will need to take a Coronavirus test upon arrival at the airport. They will also need to sign a formal pledge to adhere to the quarantine at home for a week and provide a duly “completed health assessment form for returning travelers”. Passengers arriving from Low Risk countries must have stayed in the Low Risk country for at least 72 hours prior to their departure to Qatar.
  • Passengers will be exempted from doing the PCR test upon arrival to the Airport in case he is carrying a (COVID-19) Disease-Free certificate from an accredited medical Centre from the country of his departure, provided that the date of this certificate do not exceed 48 hours prior to the travel time, then rest of above mentioned procedure to be followed.
  • If travelling from Turkey and holding a COVID-19 free certificate from one of the below accredited COVID-19 testing centers, then they will not be required to take the test upon arrival in Qatar. Provided that the date of obtaining the certificate does not exceed 48 hours prior to departure to Qatar.

Resident Permit Card Holders

  • When travelling to the State of Qatar from the countries mentioned in the Low Risk countries list must hold an “Exceptional Entry Permit” allowing them to return to Qatar which will state the type i.e. self or hotel and number of days of quarantine. They will also need to sign a formal pledge to adhere to the quarantine at home for a week if eligible and provide a duly completed “health assessment form for returning travelers”. They will need to take a Coronavirus test upon arrival at the airport. Passengers arriving from Low Risk countries must have stayed in the Low Risk countries for at least 72 hours prior to their departure to Qatar.
  • If traveling from Turkey and holding a COVID-19 free test report from one of the below accredited COVID-19 testing centers, then they will not be required to take the test upon arrival in Qatar. Provided that the date of obtaining the certificate does not exceed 48 hours prior to departure to Qatar.

  • When departing from other countries that are not included in the list of low-risk countries i.e. high-risk country then

They must hold an “Exceptional Entry Permit” allowing them to return to Qatar which will state the type and number of days of quarantine.

They need to provide a duly completed “health assessment form for returning travelers”.

Must hold a hotel quarantine booking for the duration mentioned on the approval issued for the approved quarantine hotels booked through Discover Qatar https://www.qatarairwaysholidays.com/qa-en/offers/welcome-home-packages/

They will take a COVID-19 test upon arrival at the airport.

 

Resident Permit Card Holders: Domestic staff, company sponsored and other workers

The “Exceptional Entry Permit” issued for this category of RP holders will state that they need to hotel quarantine for 14 days. Airlines must ensure that passengers must hold hotel bookings as per the requirement stated on the “Exceptional Entry Permits”.  Hotel booking and more details can be found on Discover Qatar website https://www.qatarairwaysholidays.com/qa-en/domestic-staff-and-company-sponsored-workers 

 

Exemption: following categories are eligible for home quarantine, regardless of the country from which they arrive along with their travel companions on their sponsorship. In case they are holding an “Exceptional Entry permit” it will reflect home quarantine.

  • Those over 55
  • Those who have had an organ or spinal cord transplant
  • Those who receive immunosuppressive therapy
  • Those who suffer from heart disease
  • Those who suffer from moderate to severe asthma
  • Those who receive cancer treatment
  • Pregnant women
  • Babysitting mothers with children up to five years-old
  • Those who suffer from kidney failure
  • Those with chronic liver disease
  • Those with lower limb amputation
  • Those with disabilities who require support to carry out activities
  • Disabled children and their mothers
  • Those who suffer from epilepsy and receive treatment
  • Those with diabetic foot
  • Those with immediate relatives who have died in the 10 days prior to their arrival
  • Those receiving treatment for mental and psychiatric illnesses, and people suffering from claustrophobia
  • Those who suffer from diabetes and receive treatment
  • Those who have high blood pressure

Additional Information

Upon arrival the EHTERAZ app Health status will be Yellow.

Passengers will proceed to one of the accredited health centers by the end of the one-week self-quarantine to do the PCR test and according to the test result, passengers will then follow the rest of the procedures published on the Ministry of Public Health website.

List of Low risk countries will be reviewed every 2 weeks.

All passengers (citizens, residents, tourists and transit passengers) traveling to Dubai are required to obtain a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate maximum 96 hours from the time of test from Biolabs, approved labs by UAE embassy in Jordan or by a laboratory accredited by the state of departure.

All passengers are required to fill the Declaration Form before arriving Dubai, in order to be submitted to immigration staff.

All passengers are required is to download COVID-19 DXB SMART App before departure.

All passengers must have a hard copy of the test result.

All passengers arriving from below countries will Undergo PCR test upon arrival DXB and required to self-isolate until the results:

All passengers holding residency issued by Dubai government required to obtain return permit approval using below link:

Passengers holding residence visa are not required to provide ICA approval on the condition that the Airline gets ‘OK TO BOARD’ and able to issue a boarding pass.

Tourists with valid visa or visa on arrival are not required to get any approvals from GDRFA or ICA.

Transit passengers are required to obtain a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate maximum 96 hours from the time of the travel date.

Children under 12 & people of determination (with severe & moderate impairment) are exempted from Covid-19 PCR test.

Visitors and Visa upon arrival needs International health insurance (To cover Covid-19 treatment).

 

 

Restricted Passengers - third-country nationals arriving from out of Schengen area

Exempted Passengers:

  • Passengers travelling from Australia, Georgia, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, Tunis, Uruguay
  • For China, Japan & South Korea a lifting of entry restrictions is subject to confirmation of reciprocity.
  • German nationals and nationals from other EU countries, countries associated with Schengen (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland) and the United Kingdom;
  • Third-country nationals with a valid residence permit for Germany;
  • Family members of third-country nationals travelling to Germany for the purposes of family reunification or for visits for urgent family reasons;
  • Healthcare professionals, health researchers and elderly care professionals;
  • Foreign experts and highly qualified personnel whose work is necessary from an economic point of view and which cannot be postponed or carried out abroad;
  • Transport personnel engaged in haulage of goods and other transport staff;
  • Seasonal workers in agriculture;
  • Sailors;
  • Foreign students whose studies cannot be continued entirely from outside Germany;
  • Persons in need of international protection or seeking protection for other humanitarian reasons;
  • Diplomats, staff of international organizations, military personnel and humanitarian aid workers in the exercise of their functions;
  • Late repatriates;
  • Passengers in Transit.

GCA citizens are permitted to travel to/from KSA.

Non-Saudi passengers holding a valid visa (Exit/Entry, Residence {Iqamah}, and visit) are permitted to travel to/from KSA.

Passengers are not allowed to board unless they provide a negative result (PCR) test from a verified laboratory abroad, and it must be done later than (48) hours before arriving to the kingdom.

Passengers mentioned above, entering and exiting KSA, shall be in accordance with the (Covid-19) health prevention controls and measures issued by the Ministry of Health.

This  does not apply to countries in which has been decided by the competent committee to take the necessary measures to prevent the spread of the Covid-19 in the Kingdom by suspending travel to/from those countries as a result of the outbreak of Covid-19 in it.

All passengers must submit their filled and signed form to the health control center upon arrival at airport.

 

  • Restricted Passengers - Non Kuwaiti passengers travelling from the following countries (Afghanistan, India, Iran, China, Brazil, Colombia, Armenia, Bangladesh, Philippines, Syria, Spain, Singapore, Bosnia, Herzegovina, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Iraq, Mexico, Indonesia, Chile, Pakistan, Egypt, Lebanon, Hong Kong, Italy, North Macedonia, Moldova, Panama, Peru, Serbia, Montenegro, Dominican Republic, Kosovo).
  • Exempted Passengers - Kuwaiti citizens, first relative’s degree of Kuwaiti citizens
  • PCR test before travelling - Required, valid up to 96 hours (Children under the age of 6 years old are exempted)
  • Health Insurance before travelling - Not required
  • Activate Shlonik App.

Restricted Passengers - Passengers travelling from countries designated under category C (Countries not mentioned in category A & B).

Exempted Passengers:

  • Passengers travelling from category A countries can arrive in Cyprus without a PCR test:
  • (Canada, Estonia, Finland, Georgia, Germany, Latvia, Lithuania, New Zealand, Norway, Republic of Korea, Thailand)
  • Passengers travelling from category B countries can arrive in Cyprus by downloading their PCR test on website 72 hours prior to their travel:
  • (Australia, Austria, Belgium, China, Czech Republic, Denmark, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Liechtenstein, Poland, Portugal, San Marino, Slovakia, Slovenia, Sweden, Switzerland, United Kingdom, Uruguay, Vatican City)
  • Only the following passengers are permitted to travel from countries of category C (Jordan):

1. Cypriot citizens, permanently residing in the public of Cyprus and their family members (Foreign spouses, their minor children and their parents.

2. Persons legally residing in the Republic of Cyprus

3. Persons allowed to enter in the Republic of Cyprus under the Vienna Convention

4. Persons regardless of nationality having a special permission by the Republic of Cyprus, as defined under the infectious Diseases (Determination of Measures against the spread of the COVID-19 Coronavirus disease) Decree (N.30) as amended.

PCR test before travelling

Minors under the age of 12 do not require COVID-19 test

For Category B+C exempted passengers they have the option of either arranging themselves a COVID-19 test 72 hours before their travel to the Republic of Cyprus or having this test which amounts to 60 euros, performed upon their entry to the Republic of Cyprus, on their own expenses. In the case where they choose to have the test performed upon their entry to the Republic of Cyprus, they will remain until the test results are completed, at a place designated by the Republic of Cyprus for as long as is necessary until the test results are completed and they will pay the costs for the test.

  • Study permits if not approved yet but letter of confirmation from Canadian embassy
  • Passenger holding student/work visa is required to have the following:

a. Student visa must be issued before 18 Mar 2020, and passenger will be quarantine for 14 Days.

b. Clearance letter from Liaison office of Embassy of Canada from departure country.

c. Recent letter from respective school for opening date of school.

d. Holder of work visa must have clearance letter from liaison office of Embassy of Canada in departure country.

  • Visitors

Only following category of passengers holding visit visa can enter Canada (Immediate family members i.e. Parents and children of Canadian Citizen/P. R Card holders ONLY).

- U.S Citizens from AMM connecting to USA

U.S citizens arriving from AMM for essential traveling are accepted only to transit USA. They will report to Canadian immigration, pickup their bags, clear from Canadian customs and go to US Re-check area for their respective Airlines (But cannot leave Airport terminal building and in case of delay, passengers must stay at Marriot hotel at Airport with maximum of 24 hours transit time.
