This information is subject to change based on each country restrictions. Travelers are responsible to confirm with the embassy or consulate of their country of transit or final destination, they are travelling from, to receive updated information for entry regulations. 

  • Visa on Arrival is temporary suspended; this does not apply to passengers with a diplomatic, official, service or UN passports.
  • Passengers are not allowed to enter Bahrain, unless they are:

a. Bahraini citizens,

b. Residents,

c. Holding a valid eVisa.

This does not apply to airline crew, transit passengers and military personnel.

  • Passengers entering the Kingdom will be subject to the following:

a. Will be charged BD 30 upon arrival to undergo mandatory PCR test; inform Pax at check-in.

b. Will be subject to quarantine measures.

c. After completing quarantine period, Pax will undergo PCR exit test and will be charged additional BD 30;

d. Test fees maybe paid through BeAware App or through the self-service payment kiosk at the airport.

e. Diplomats and crew are exempted from test fees.

f. Passengers returning to BAH from medical travel are exempted from test fees.

  • All other passengers are permitted to transit through BIA.
  • The maximum allowable transit time in BAH is 12 hrs.
  • Unaccompanied Minors (UM) Service is temporarily suspended as escort services are unavailable at BAH HUB.

 

  • All GCC nationals including Qataris should use their passports to enter the State of Qatar and not their National ID cards.
  • All arriving passengers must install “EHTERAZ” application on their cell phone.
  • Each passenger must complete “Health Assessment Form for Returning Travelers” before arrival to Qatar.
  • Exceptional Entry permit copy should be carried by the passengers to be presented on arrival.

The following list of countries classified as Low risk of Covid-19:

(Brunei Darussalam- Vietnam- China- Thailand- Malaysia- New Zealand- Malta- Finland- Hungary- South Korea- Estonia- Norway- Lithuania- Latvia- Japan- Cyprus- Ireland- Greece- Italy- Slovakia- Denmark- Netherlands- Germany- Morocco- Poland- France- Australia- Canada- Slovenia- Belgium- United Kingdom- Czech- Austria- Switzerland- Algeria- Turkey- Iceland- Spain- Croatia- Andorra).

Below listed passengers to follow the conditions hereunder:

  1. Qatari Nationals, their spouses, their children, and companions arriving with them on the same flights.
  2. Permanent Residency Card holders.
  3. GCC nationals using their Passport only along with their companions under their sponsorship traveling on the same flights.
  4. Exceptional Return Permit holders.
  5. Foreign Diplomats on mission to the State of Qatar, holders of Administrative IDs and staff of International Organizations.
  • When travelling to the State of Qatar from the countries mentioned in the list of Low Risk countries published by MOPH will need to take a Coronavirus test upon arrival at the airport. They will also need to sign a formal pledge to adhere to the quarantine at home for a week and provide a duly “completed health assessment form for returning travelers”. Passengers arriving from Low Risk countries must have stayed in the Low Risk country for at least 72 hours prior to their departure to Qatar.
  • Passengers will be exempted from doing the PCR test upon arrival to the Airport in case he is carrying a (COVID-19) Disease-Free certificate from an accredited medical Center from the country of his departure, provided that the date of this certificate do not exceed 48 hours prior to the travel time, then rest of above mentioned procedure to be followed.
  • If travelling from Turkey and holding a COVID-19 free certificate from one of the below accredited COVID-19 testing centers, then they will not be required to take the test upon arrival in Qatar. Provided that the date of obtaining the certificate does not exceed 48 hours prior to departure to Qatar.

  3. Basaksehir Cam ve Sakura Hospital In Istanbul

  • When travelling from countries that are not included in the list of low-risk countries i.e. high-risk countries they will take a COVID-19 test upon arrival at the airport. They must hold a 7 days hotel quarantine booking issued for the approved quarantine hotels through Discover Qatar https://www.qatarairwaysholidays.com/qa-en/offers/welcome-home-packages/
  • They also need to provide a duly completed “health assessment form for returning travelers”.

Resident Permit Card Holders

  • When travelling to the State of Qatar from the countries mentioned in the Low Risk countries list must hold an “Exceptional Entry Permit” allowing them to return to Qatar which will state the type i.e. self or hotel and number of days of quarantine. They will also need to sign a formal pledge to adhere to the quarantine at home for a week if eligible and provide a duly completed “health assessment form for returning travelers”. They will need to take a Coronavirus test upon arrival at the airport. Passengers arriving from Low Risk countries must have stayed in the Low Risk countries for at least 72 hours prior to their departure to Qatar.
  • If traveling from Turkey and holding a COVID-19 free test report from one of the below accredited COVID-19 testing centers, then they will not be required to take the test upon arrival in Qatar. Provided that the date of obtaining the certificate does not exceed 48 hours prior to departure to Qatar.

  • When departing from other countries that are not included in the list of low-risk countries i.e. high-risk country then
  • They must hold an “Exceptional Entry Permit” allowing them to return to Qatar which will state the type and number of days of quarantine.
  • They need to provide a duly completed “health assessment form for returning travelers”.
  • Must hold a hotel quarantine booking for the duration mentioned on the approval issued for the approved quarantine hotels booked through Discover Qatar https://www.qatarairwaysholidays.com/qa-en/offers/welcome-home-packages/
  • They will take a COVID-19 test upon arrival at the airport.

Resident Permit Card Holders: Domestic staff, company sponsored and other workers

  • They need to provide a duly completed “health assessment form for returning travelers”.

Exemption

Following categories are eligible for home quarantine, regardless of the country from which they arrive along with their travel companions on their sponsorship. In case they are holding an “Exceptional Entry permit” it will reflect home quarantine.

  • Those over 55
  • Those who have had an organ or spinal cord transplant
  • Those who receive immunosuppressive therapy
  • Those who suffer from heart disease
  • Those who suffer from moderate to severe asthma
  • Those who receive cancer treatment
  • Pregnant women
  • Babysitting mothers with children up to five years-old
  • Those who suffer from kidney failure
  • Those with chronic liver disease
  • Those with lower limb amputation
  • Those with disabilities who require support to carry out activities
  • Disabled children and their mothers
  • Those who suffer from epilepsy and receive treatment
  • Those with diabetic foot
  • Those with immediate relatives who have died in the 10 days prior to their arrival
  • Those receiving treatment for mental and psychiatric illnesses, and people suffering from claustrophobia
  • Those who suffer from diabetes and receive treatment
  • Those who have high blood pressure.

Additional information:

  • Upon arrival the EHTERAZ app Health status will be Yellow.
  • Passengers will proceed to one of the accredited health centers by the end of the one-week self-quarantine to do the PCR test and according to the test result, passengers will then follow the rest of the procedures published on the Ministry of Public Health website.
  • List of Low risk countries will be reviewed every 2 weeks.
  • Exceptional Entry Permit issued through “Qatar Portal” https://portal.www.gov.qa/wps/portal/qsports/home/

Restricted Passengers:

Passengers travelling from Afghanistan, Albania , Algeria, Angola, Antigua and Barbuda, Argentina, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Bahamas, Bahrain, Bangladesh, Barbados, Belarus, Belize, Benin, Bhutan, Bolivia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Brazil, Burkina Faso, Burundi, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Central African Republic, Chad, Chile, Colombia, Comoros, Costa Rica, Côte d'Ivoire, Cuba, Djibouti, Dominica, Dominican Republic, DR Congo, Ecuador, Egypt, El Salvador, Equatorial Guinea, Eritrea, Eswatini, Ethiopia, Gabon, Gambia, Ghana, Grenada, Guatemala, Guinea, Guinea-Bissau, Guyana, Haiti, Honduras, India, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Israel, Jamaica, Kazakhstan, Kenya, Korea (Democratic People’s Republic, North Korea), Kosovo, Kuwait, Kyrgyzstan, Lebanon, Lesotho, Liberia, Libya, Madagascar, Malawi, Mali, Mauritania, Mexico, Mongolia, Morocco, Mozambique, Namibia, Nepal, Nicaragua, Niger, Nigeria, North Macedonia, Oman, Pakistan, Palestinian territories, Panama, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Qatar, Republic of Moldova, Republic of the Congo, Russian Federation, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, São Tomé and Príncipe, Saudi Arabia, Senegal, Serbia, Sierra Leone, Somalia, South Africa, South Sudan, Sri Lanka, Sudan, Suriname, Sweden, Syrian Arab Republic, Tajikistan, Tanzania, Timor Leste (East Timor), Togo, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, USA, Uzbekistan, Venezuela, Yemen, Zambia, Zimbabwe.

Exempted Passengers:

  • Passengers travelling from Australia, Georgia, Canada, New Zealand, Thailand, Tunis, Uruguay
  • For China, Japan & South Korea a lifting of entry restrictions is subject to confirmation of reciprocity.
  • This list of countries is to be regularly updated. The question of whether travel to Germany is permitted depends on where the person travelling has previously been staying, not on their nationality.
  • German nationals and nationals from other EU countries, countries associated with Schengen (Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, Switzerland) and the United Kingdom;
  • Third-country nationals with a valid residence permit for Germany
  • Family members of third-country nationals travelling to Germany for the purposes of family reunification or for visits for urgent family reasons;
  • Healthcare professionals, health researchers and elderly care professionals;
  • Foreign experts and highly qualified personnel whose work is necessary from an economic point of view and which cannot be postponed or carried out abroad;
  • Transport personnel engaged in haulage of goods and other transport staff;
  • Seasonal workers in agriculture;
  • Sailors
  • Foreign students whose studies cannot be continued entirely from outside Germany;
  • Persons in need of international protection or seeking protection for other humanitarian reasons;
  • Diplomats, staff of international organizations, military personnel and humanitarian aid workers in the exercise of their functions
  • Late repatriates
  • Passengers in Transit. 

PCR Test – Not Required.

Health Insurance – Not Required

All nationalities can enter and transit Istanbul out of Amman without any requirement.

Visit Visa not accepted unless approved by Liaison officer  

Abu Dhabi:

  • Only passengers holding a valid residency are allowed to travel to Abu Dhabi.
  • Visit visa, visa upon arrival and fresh residency visa are not allowed to enter Abu Dhabi.
  • All passengers are required to obtain a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate maximum 96 hours from the time of test from approved labs (In Jordan =Biolabs) or by a laboratory accredited by the state of departure, list of approved labs listed on the website(https://screening.purehealth.ae/application ), Passengers must have a hard copy of the test result.
  • Passengers with valid residency can travel to Abu Dhabi without ICA approval.
  • For departure out of Abu Dhabi, all passengers are required to have a negative COVID-19 PCR test.
  • All passengers are required to download ALHOSN app for tracking purposes.

 

Dubai

  • All passengers (citizens, residents, tourists and transit passengers) traveling to Dubai are required to obtain a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate maximum 96 hours from the time of test from Biolabs, approved labs by UAE embassy in Jordan or by a laboratory accredited by the state of departure.
  • All passengers are required is to download COVID-19 DXB SMART App.
  • All passengers must have a hard copy of the test result.
  • All passengers holding residency issued by Dubai government required to obtain return permit approval using below link: GDRFA Approval for Dubai Issued residence visa on https://smart.gdrfad.gov.ae/Smart_OTCServicesPortal/ReturnPermitService.aspx
  • Tourists with valid visa or visa on arrival are not required to get any approvals from GDRFA or ICA
  • Children under 12 & people of determination (with severe & moderate impairment) are exempted from Covid-19 PCR test.
  • Visitors and Visa upon arrival needs International health insurance (To cover Covid-19 treatment).
