Aqaba Church: Archaeologists in Aqaba have recently discovered the world’s oldest-known purpose-built Christian church from the late 3rd century AD, dated between 293 and 303.

Ayla City ruins: Ayla was a medieval Islamic city conquered during the Islamic conquests, the city had 24 towers to defend it and four gates on all four sides; some of its walls reach three meters high. This ancient site is accessible during the day.

Aqaba Fortress: It has been built by the Mamluk Sultan Qansweh El-Ghuri at the beginning of the 16th century and contains a collection of artifacts collected in the region, including fragments of metallic glazed pottery from Samaria, pottery, coins and Chinese ceramics.
