Carry-on luggage allowance
In today’s mobile world, being able to take your business and personal life accessories is crucial. Royal Jordanian carry-on allowances enable you to take what you need onboard with you.
Crown Class Passengers
Crown class passengers are allowed two pieces of carry-on baggage ( 7 kg each) in the cabin on all types of aircraft, except on Embraers where only one piece is allowed, according to the set size, weight and shape.
Economy Class Passengers
One piece of carry-on baggage is allowed per person according to the set size, weight and shape, for both Crown and Economy class shall meet the following conditions:
- It shall be of a size, weight and shape to fit under a passenger seat or in an enclosed storage compartment;
- Its weight shall not exceed 7 kgs.
- It may have maximum dimensions of (9X16X20in) or (23X41X51cm) however, the sum of the three dimensions shall not exceed (45 inches) (115 cm). These dimensions include wheels, handles, side pockets, etc.
Special Note
- In addition to the cabin baggage allowance, passengers are permitted to carry one (1) personal item subject to the following limitations with Maximum dimensions of (20x40x35cm) and Maximum weight of 5 kg
- The personal item must be placed under the seat in front of the passenger.
- Assistive devices (such as crutches, braces, or other mobility aids) and infant items (such as fully collapsible strollers or infant carrying baskets) are not subject to the above personal item weight limitations.
- Carriage in the cabin is subject to availability of space and safety requirements. If cabin stowage is not possible, such items shall be accepted for carriage in the aircraft hold.
The following items may be considered as a personal item, provided that only one (1) item is carried and it complies with the above limitations:
- One fully collapsible stroller/push chair or infant's carrying basket may be carried in the passenger cabin subject to space availability.
- An umbrella or walking stick.
- A small camera and / or a pair of binoculars. One fully collapsible stroller/push chair or infant's carrying basket may be carried in the passenger cabin subject to space availability.
- A reasonable amount of reading material for the flight.
- A pair of crutches, and / or braces needed by passenger.
- Lap-top personal computer
Infants
- Passengers traveling with infants are allowed baby food and other necessities for the flight, to a maximum weight of 7 kgs/15 lbs., in addition to the carry-on allowance of the accompanying adult. Baby strollers/push-chairs may need to be checked in at the gate due to limited stowage in the aircraft cabin space.
