Royal Jordanian the Official Carrier of Jordan’s National Basketball Teams

 

Amman, September 20, 2026 – Royal Jordanian Airlines and the Jordan Basketball Federation have renewed their sponsorship agreement, under which Royal Jordanian will continue to serve as the official carrier of Jordan’s national basketball teams. The agreement reflects both parties’ commitment to supporting Jordanian sports and enhancing its presence at regional and international levels.

The agreement was signed by Royal Jordanian the Vice Chairman/ CEO of Royal Jordanian, Samer Majali, and Jordan Basketball Federation President, Mr. Yazan Al Muasher in the presence of officials from both sides.

The renewed agreement underscores the strategic partnership between the two parties and is rooted in their shared belief in the importance of sports as a means of empowering youth and promoting national achievements. It also aims to support Jordan’s national teams in their various international participations.

Majali said: "We are proud to continue our partnership with the Jordan Basketball Federation, reflecting Royal Jordanian’s longstanding commitment to supporting Jordanian sports and national teams. This partnership stems from our belief in the vital role sports play in representing Jordan and showcasing the talents and achievements of Jordanian youth on regional and international stages.

Through this agreement, we reaffirm our commitment to accompanying the national teams in their journey toward further success, in line with our national and social responsibility. We look forward to building on this successful collaboration and contributing to the continued growth, visibility, and accomplishments of Jordanian basketball and sports as a whole."

For his part, President of the Jordan Basketball Federation, Mr. Yazan Al Muasher expressed his appreciation and pride in the renewed partnership with Royal Jordanian Airlines, emphasizing that the continuation of this partnership reflects the mutual confidence in the importance of sports and its role in enhancing Jordan’s presence at both the local and international levels.

He added: “We are pleased at the Jordan Basketball Federation to renew the partnership agreement with Royal Jordanian Airlines. We highly value the company’s continued support for Jordanian basketball, which reflects its belief in the power of sport to create success and enhance Jordan’s image.”

We believe its continuation represents significant added value to Jordan’s basketball ecosystem and provides greater motivation for us to continue developing the sport and achieving further accomplishments. We look forward to strengthening this partnership for many years to come in a manner that serves Jordanian basketball and enhances its standing."

Jordanian basketball is set to participate in several important official competitions during the coming period, most notably the fifth and sixth windows of the Asian qualifiers for the FIBA Basketball World Cup Qatar 2027. The Jordan men’s national team, known as the “Jordan Falcons,” aims to secure qualification for the World Cup for the third consecutive time and the fourth time in the history of Jordanian basketball.

The upcoming schedule also includes participation by Jordan’s national teams in various continental championships organized by the Asian basketball governing bodies across age-group and women’s categories. In addition, the Federation will continue organizing local tournaments and competitions for different age groups and both genders, contributing to the expansion of the sport’s grassroots base and supporting its development at all levels.
