Scholarships
As Royal Jordanian celebrates its fiftieth year anniversary, we are pleased to announce the Royal Jordanian University Scholarships program that includes 50 scholarships.

This program will be implemented through the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, in the academic year 2013/2014 and will end upon students' graduation.

These scholarships are allocated among three different categories as follows:

  • Children of Royal Jordanian current employees on unlimited contracts: 15 scholarships.
  • Children of retired Royal Jordanian employees: 5 scholarships.
  • Jordanian society: 30 scholarships.

These scholarships aim to fund the study of academically distinguished students who are financially in need. What distinguishes this integrated program is that in addition to covering the university tuition fees it will also include training courses that will be provided to develop their skills in communication, computer, and English.

The opportunity to apply for these scholarships is open to all Jordanian Tawjihi students with scores not less than 80 % in the summer session of 2013. Students must be accepted in one of the  Jordanian public universities (on competitive basis) and in one of the following majors: Industrial Engineering , Mechanical Engineering Mechatronics , finance , accounting , business administration, management information systems, information technology and complying  with the needs of Royal Jordanian expected future workforce .

The students will be chosen by a special committee from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, based on the following criteria:

Children of Royal Jordanian current employees and retirees Scholarship:

  • Tawjihi scores.
  • The number of siblings attending university concurrently: where the chance of the student will increase as the number of siblings attending university increases.
  • The parent's years of service in RJ.
  • Family member income: which is calculated by dividing the entire household income on the number of its members where legal documents will be requested from official bodies in this regard.

Jordan Community Scholarships:

  • Tawjihi scores.
  • The number of siblings attending university concurrently: where the chance of the student will increase as the number of sibling attending university increases.
  • Family member income: which is calculated by dividing the entire household income on the number of its members where legal documents will be requested from official bodies in this regard.
  • Location of residence relative to the University (for example: the same brigade, the same governorate, the same region, outside the region) where the students will score more points as the distance between his current residence and university increases.
  • Obtaining the National Aid Card: where additional points will be allocated to holders of this card.

Please note that applications shall be submitted for these scholarships after the student obtains acceptance in one of the Jordanian public universities (on competitive basis) in the academic year 2013/201. Student must select one of the majors mentioned above and enrolls for the first university semester. The expected date to start submitting these applications is by the end of October 2013 where we will announce it internally and in official newspapers.

Application submission will be open for the children of employees and retirees through a link on the Royal Jordanian website and will be announced soon.  As for the local community; application submission will be through the website of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
