Military museums are not uncommon, but Aqaba is home to one of the world's most unusual: an underwater military museum. Decommissioned military vehicles have been submerged at depths ranging from 15 to 28 metres and strategically positioned along the coral reefs to resemble a tactical battle formation. The result is a captivating underwater attraction that invites divers and snorkellers to explore the site while discovering an extraordinary fusion of history, marine life, and adventure.
Located just off Aqaba's South Beach in the Red Sea, the museum lies within one of the region's most popular diving areas. The exhibits consist of decommissioned vehicles donated by the Royal Jordanian Army. The museum currently features 21 military relics and continues to expand as additional equipment becomes available, offering visitors an ever-evolving underwater experience.
